Adaptive sports
The Adaptive sports program within the ASML Zomerspelen is specially designed for children aged 6 to 15 who may not easily access regular sports activities. This includes children with physical, intellectual, sensory, or behavioural challenges, those with chronic conditions, or simply those who feel more comfortable exercising in smaller groups with more personal attention. Participation is free of charge.
In collaboration with Uniek Sporten Brabant, we make suitable sports opportunities visible and support children in finding their way to long-term participation in sports.
Children can choose whether they would like to sign up for the inclusive programme, the regular programme, or both, whatever makes them feel most comfortable.
This way, every child can enjoy sports and physical activity at their own level.
Inclusive Sports Program
The inclusive program consists of five dedicated sports days, where multiple sports providers come together at one location. These providers offer tailored sports clinics specifically designed for children with additional needs.
Children register for a full programme block (instead of individual sessions, as with the regular clinics). It is possible to sign up for multiple inclusive sports days.

Train with Top Athletes
The inclusive programme also features clinics led by top athletes from the region. We can already tell you which athletes will get active during the ASML Zomerspelen:
Pierluigi Bomberg will host a para-athletics clinic at AVV Atletiek in Valkenswaard on July 16. And Maikel Scheffers will host a wheelchairtennis clinic at SV de Braak on July 29!
The Sports Festival
The ASML Zomerspelen concludes with a festive Sports Festival, where all children, from both the regular and inclusive programmes, come together for sports, demonstrations, and fun. As always, we ensure an environment where every participant can fully take part.
After the programme, we help explore suitable follow-up opportunities, such as joining a local sports club. Parents can also access support through the Youth Fund for Sport & Culture or Stichting Leergeld.
If you are unsure whether this programme is suitable for your child, feel free to get in touch, we are happy to help.
