What are the ASML Zomerspelen?

The ASML Zomerspelen is a fun and active summer program for all children aged 6 to 13 from the municipalities of Eindhoven, Helmond, Veldhoven, Geldrop-Mierlo, and Valkenswaard. For six weeks, sports will be at the center of the program, aiming to get children moving in an accessible and fun way during the summer holiday.

The program consists of free sports clinics provided by local sports providers. Children can try out a variety of sports: from football to freerunning, dance to judo, and from basketball to boot camp. This allows them to discover what they enjoy, what suits them, and where their talents lie.

In the first two weeks, activities will take place in the neighborhood wherever possible, such as at a Cruyff Court, school playground, or local sports field. This brings sports directly to the children. In the following three weeks, the clinics will be organized at the sports providers' own locations.

In collaboration with Uniek Sporten Brabant, we make suitable sports opportunities visible and support children in finding their way to long-term participation in sports. Children can choose whether they would like to sign up for the inclusive programme, the regular programme, or both, whatever makes them feel most comfortable. In addition to the clinics, there will be surprises, challenges, and encounters with local sports heroes. Videos and social media updates will be shared, often in collaboration with Our Stars, an enthusiastic group of children who help shape the program and create exciting content.

The Zomerspelen will conclude with the Sport festival: a grand and festive closing event where children will gather one last time. They will participate in sports activities, watch spectacular demos, meet each other, and celebrate a summer full of movement, fun, and new experiences.
