Everyone should be able to play sports: Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur
Playing sports, dancing, making music, or discovering another hobby. That should be a given for every child, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Fortunately, the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur helps children and young people from families with limited financial means to still participate. This way, every child gets the chance to have fun and develop themselves.
Who is the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur for?
The fund is for children and young people aged 0 to 18 who do not have enough money at home for sports or creative activities. Think of football, dance, music lessons, or other hobbies. Thanks to the fund, no child has to stand on the sidelines.
The contribution from the fund is arranged through an intermediary, such as a teacher, community sports coach, or social worker. They help with the application for membership fees or lesson costs. If needed, sports clothing or equipment can also be reimbursed. This gives children the opportunity to develop themselves physically, mentally, creatively, and socially.
Why we think this is important
From the ASML Summer Games, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate, just like their peers. Sports and culture bring joy, self-confidence, and connection. They help children grow and give them a strong foundation for the future, and in our view, money should not be a barrier.
Together with the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, we are therefore committed to this cause. Even after the ASML Summer Games, we want to contribute to ongoing participation, so that children can continue to develop themselves and enjoy what they do.
